Why information still needs an editor

A homepage is a decision. So is a front page. Someone chose this story and not the other ten. That choice can be wrong. It cannot be avoided.

Feeds pretend there is no editor. There is always an editor. It may be an advertising auction. It may be a friend who forwarded a clip. It may be a model that prefers the sentence that sounds finished.

A newspaper, even a small digital one, still has a name on the masthead. That name is a promise that a human being will answer for the paragraph.

Bokhari.in can earn from information — ads, a newsletter, a Friday edition — only if the information is worth defending. Traffic without trust is a crowd in a corridor.

Write less if you must. Check more. Put the correction high. That is the whole craft, and it has not been automated.
